Yadith

Yadith is a 33-year-old small business owner and resident of the town of Manatí, Atlántico. She owns a recycling business with 5 years of experience.

Thanks to contacts with the wholesale recycling warehouses of Sabanalarga, she has succeeded in supporting herself in this work with the intention of contributing to the town's ecological wellbeing. She decided to start her business by buying all kinds of materials from recyclers that roam the region on foot and with pushcarts.

Yadith, in her search to reduce the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic and boost her financial recovery, became involved with the program "Atlántico Responde" [Atlántico Responds] to request her Kiva loan through Fundación Santo Domingo. She will invest these resources in buying iron, copper, aluminum, scrap metal, cardboard, paper, plastic, etc., and in the maintenance of machinery, etc.
