Ushirika Busness Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on watches, makeup, nail-polish and lipstick, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Ushirika Busness Group's story

Ms. Furaha, 42, is a client of the IMF Hekima and chairs the group 'Ushirika Business'. She is married and a mother of 10 children, all of whom go to school. Her partner is a shopkeeper.

Furaha is a seller of diverse products. She began this business 7 years ago with the startup funds received from her husband. Later, she became involved with the Hekima program to support her business, during which time she progressively developed the business.

With this new loan, she is going to stock up on watches, makeup, nail-polish and lipstick — all of which will reinforce her initial capital. The challenge in this business is related to state taxes which is significant.

Furaha would like her children to continue studying. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for their support towards non-bankable entrepreneurs in the context of the Covid-19 global crisis. Due to Covid-19, the photo only shows the group leader.
