Feruza's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase dairy cows in order to increase her sales of milk to a local plant.

Feruza's story

The 52-year-old Feruza is a widow with three children. She has a secondary education. She has been raising livestock and growing crops since 2014, and this is her family's main source of income. Thanks to her hard work, Feruza's farm presently consists of 16 cows, 10 sheep, and a 0.9-hectare plot of land on which she grows beans. She has a contract to deliver organic milk to a local plant, where it is processed into dairy products. This permits her to put money back into her farming business on an ongoing basis.

After learning that she could obtain a loan from Bai Tushum Bank using the contract for future deliveries as collateral under a Value-Added Chain arrangement, Feruza has applied for a loan of 250,000 som (KGS) to buy dairy cows. Her goal in this is to increase her organic milk sales. The dairy plant's payment for the milk will be deposited directly into Feruza's bank account, and the loan payments will be automatically deducted. The income generated by this loan will allow Salamat to develop her farm going forward and enhance her family's well-being.
