Koemmy's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy supplies for construction services and to pay laborers for their services.

Koemmy's story

Koemmy is a married woman who has been residing in Bakan district of Pursat province. She is a mother of three children and she is working as a garment worker. She can make around USD 6.00 per day to support her member's needs. She aims to open a small grocery store and earn a good income to meet her daily living expense.

As she doesn't have a safe latrine yet at home, she would like to acquire a loan to buy supplies for the construction and pay laborers for their services. Through the help of the loan, she hopes to improve her family’s health and sanitation. With another portion of the loan, she will also build a water storage, so that she can ensure that there is enough water for the household in both seasons and save much time in collecting the water.

She thanks lenders for contributing their own money in a program like Kiva's to help low-income people gain access to water and sanitation.
