Maria Fernanda's story

Maria Fernanda is in a relationship and has two children. Her spouse is a civil engineer. They live in their own home. They live in Portoviejo, a city that was affected by the April 16, 2016 earthquake and now, by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in production of vegetables, legumes and tropical fruits for local consumption.

Maria Fernanda has a shop in her home where she sells sandals and shoes for women, men and children. She has a variety of styles, sizes and colors. She purchases them from distributors in another city where she gets them at good prices and a lot of variety always. Her clients pay in cash, and those she has had for many years pay on credit, and she collects weekly. During this world crisis, she has faced financial difficulties. Her clients were not able to pay her because they were out of work or had other shortcomings. At first, the health crisis was very had and she was not able to sell. But now, little by little, she is offering home delivery to continue generating income.

With this new loan, she will purchase sandals, flat shoes for women, sports shoes and more. Her dream is to have a big store downtown and that her family continues to be very healthy.
