A loan helped to buy provisions for her store such as dairy products, tuna, and other items.

Jenniffer Karolina's story

Jenniffer Karolina is a single mother with a young child who is in school. She lives at her parents’ house. They reside in Portoviejo, which was affected by an earthquake on April 16, 2016, and now by the COVID-19 pandemic. This city is rich in its production of vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for domestic consumption.

Jenniffer Karolina and her parents have a small provisions store where they sell rice, sugar, sausages, sodas, dairy products, tuna, and other products. They also expanded the business by adding a neighborhood banking center where she continues to maintain accounts for private individuals. The health crisis was very bad at first because she was not able to sell, but now that the business has gradually restarted, she has begun preparing and selling food for home delivery so that she continue generating income.

With this new loan, Jenniffer Karolina will buy provisions for her store such as dairy products, tuna, and other items. Her dreams are to own a house and to see her family in good health.
