Mujeres Unidas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fabrics, threads, elastic, and other additional products.

Mujeres Unidas Group's story

The group called "Mujeres Unidas" [Women United] is in its eighth [loan] cycle in the women's committee program, where everyone works and helps each other to get ahead. All are focused as a goal on being able to grow, not only economically, but also as people, in order to help their families. They are also in the program for the elimination of poverty.

One of the members is Alicia, who works in dressmaking. She has a modest workshop in which she works every day starting early in the morning. She has an established clientele which always brings her work to do, and she comments that it is going very well for her. She is a hard-working person who, in spite of the daily difficulties, doesn't let herself be defeated and strives to be able to improve herself in order to be able to offer her family everything that she wasn't able to have and avoid their experiencing times of need.

She is requesting this loan in order to be able to buy fabrics, threads, elastics, and other additional products in order to continue with her dressmaking as she has been doing.

Note that only one person appears in the photo, but this is a group loan. It wasn't possible to take a group photo in order to avoid a crowd of people because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
