Hawa's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 49 years old Hawa from Waterloo branch. She is married with three children between the ages of 3 and 26 years old, all of whom are attending school. She started this business to support her family.

Hawa runs a Retail Business and sells Fast food, Stationery and other assorted items. She has been in this business for the past 15 years. Her other source of income is from her husband’s business. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes during this COVID 19.

She has requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase Stationery products, Food stuffs like onions, oil, maggi, rice, pepper, palm oil, fish and other assorted item to increase her business. Hawa says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her business and take care of her family's welfare. In the future, she would like to establish in to a larger scale.
