but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fabrics in quantity for her sewing.

Madres Trabajadoras Group's story

The group named “Madres Trabajadoras” is in its 21st loan cycle with the Women’s Committee Program. All of the members are working and helping one another so that they can get ahead. They are also participating in the poverty elimination program because they are striving to provide a decent and better quality of life for their families.

One of the members is Sra. Rufina, who is a seamstress. She has a modest workshop where she works every day, starting early in the morning. By working in this manner, she is able to continue providing the best for her loved ones so that they lack nothing. Rufina said that she joined this group with the goal of accessing training that would help her provide a decent life for her family so that they can avoid being in need.

She is requesting a loan to buy fabrics in quantity so that she can continue sewing. As a result, Rufina will be able to satisfy her customers and also help her family.

Note: The photo shows only one person, even though this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo in order to avoid congregating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
