Cristina Jaqueline's story

Cristina is a rural woman who is in a common-law relationship with the father of her children. They live in the community of Urbina, which 15 minutes away from the border between Ecuador and Colombia. Cristina lives in a small house that is on loan from a relative of her partner. She raises small animals so that she can provide for the daily needs of her family.

Cristina wants to increase her busines of raising pigs, so she is requesting a modest loan to buy piglets, whey, scrap potatoes, and balanced feed so that she can improve her earnings. Even though the world is in the midst of a financial crisis because of the current pandemic, she intends to sell her animals at the market at the best price so that she can put food on the table each day for her family.
