Santa Catalina Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy bran, cassava, noodles, vitamins, and other supplies for fattening her pigs.

Santa Catalina Group's story

The group named “Santa Catalina” is in its first loan cycle with the Women’s Committee Program. All of the members are working and helping one another so that they can get ahead. In addition, they are participating in the poverty elimination program as they strive for a better quality of life.

One of the members is Sra. María. Through her effort and continuous work of raising and selling pigs, she is able to make a decent and honest living. María is an enterprising person who strives to achieve a better quality of life for herself and her loved ones. This is the reason why she decided to join this group and work hard each day.

María is requesting a loan to buy feed for her animals such as bran, cassava, noodles, vitamins, and other supplies. This will enable her to feed the pigs so that they can be fattened for slaughter in order to sell the meat and other by-products. She also sells live pigs.

Note: The photo shows only one person, even though this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo in order to avoid congregating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
