Mujeres Unidas Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase tops, pants, blouses, t-shirts and other items.

Mujeres Unidas Group's story

This communal bank is called "Mujeres Unidas" (United Women). It is in its third lending cycle with the women's committee program. Additionally, the members are participating in the Poverty Stoplight Program, in which they are all working hard toward a better quality of life so they can give all the best to their families.
Señora Lilian stands out among the communal bank members. She sells all types of clothing and says that through her work she is able to generate the means to help her family and give them everything she, herself, wasn't able to have. Señora Lilian defines herself as an enterprising person who, in spite of daily difficulties, doesn't give up. She looks for ways to improve her situation daily.
Señora Lilian is requesting this loan so she can invest in her business and be able to purchase more garments for resale. She will purchase tops, pants, blouses, t-shirts and other items so she can continue with her sales like always.
Add: Only one person appears in the above photograph, but this is a group loan. Taking a group photo wasn't possible due to the need to avoid gatherings during the Covid-19 pandemic.
