Majida's Group's story
Majida, a resident of Borewala (famous for its shrines), Pakistan, owns a small house of two rooms and has been living in it with her family for over twenty-five years. Her husband's name is G. F. and he is a salesman by profession. He sells bakery items such as biscuits, chips and bread to different shops and generates income. He has been doing this work for over three years. To support her husband financially, the very caring and talented Majida runs a decorative embroidery business. She makes embroidered dresses on order and earns income. She earns PKR500 from each embroidered dress, which helps her to meet the urgent needs of her family. They both are very hardworking and utilize their income for the betterment of their family. Majida is applying for a loan from Asasah, to invest the capital in her own business so she can purchase embroidery material such as beads, colored thread and clothes in bulk. This will allow her to increase her profit by completing more dresses.
