San Jose Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy cassava flour, cheese, eggs, shortening, and other ingredients.

San Jose Group's story

The group named “San Jose” was formed by several friends and neighbors from the city of Ybycuí. The members are seeking to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They are participating in their fourth loan cycle with the Women’s Committee Program.

Sra. Sara is one of the members of this committee. She prepares and sells “chipas” [cheese bread], which is a traditional Paraguayan food that is consumed throughout the year. Sara indicated that the worldwide crisis caused by the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic prevented her from working normally and generating income to help her family. This brought about consequences to her sales. She is looking for a way to restart her business so that she can provide the best for her family.

Sara is requesting a loan to buy ingredients for making chipas such as cassava flour, cheese, eggs, shortening, and other products.

Note: The photo shows only one person, even though this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo in order to avoid congregating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
