Muong Phang 38 Group's story

Ong is 33 years old, married, and has two children. Her daughter is in fifth grade and her son is in kindergarten. Ong’s family consists of nine members who reside in a small stilt house, which is located in a poor village in Dien Bien Province in the northwestern mountains of Vietnam.

Ong and her husband cultivate rice to earn a living. They have also been raising fish for the past three years to earn additional income. Ong has found the work of raising fish to be quite easy, so she decided to request a loan from the Anh Chi Em program in order to expand her fish business and improve her family’s finances. With her experience and the wholehearted support from the technical staff of the Anh Chi Em program, she hopes her investment will be successful.
