A loan helped to buy a buffalo.

Noong Luong 29 Group's story

Married very early, the 29-year-old Bon is a Thai ethnic woman who has two older children: one son and one daughter. Her daughter is a third-year student in Son La. Her family lives in a poor village in Dien Bien province, where agriculture is the main income activity.

Both husband and wife are farming. In addition, she also raises chickens and buffalo. Her son works in Laos, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he is unemployed and is staying at home to help his family with farming.

Her family is nearly poor, so she really wants the support from the Anh Chi Em program of a loan as well as technology to improve her family economy and get rid of the nearly poor household status. For this reason, she borrowed a loan this time from the Anh Chi Em program with the aim of buying a buffalo to plow and reduce the labor force when farming.

She hopes that by buying the buffalo, her work will be less hard, her work will increase productivity to have more income, and her family will be more prosperous.

In the picture, she stands first from the right.
