Rakiya's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase improved inputs in order to get a good harvest and earn more money.

Rakiya's story

Rakiya is married and lives in a small community in Kaduna State where she grows maize to support her family. This is her second loan with Babban Gona, and she has been able to send one child to a better school with the profits from her farm.

Through this loan, she will get access to high-quality seeds and fertilizers that will make her crop grow. This will ensure a bountiful harvest and even greater profits from her farm. Rakiya’s goal for the season is to increase her farm size, and she hopes to earn enough income to build a better house for her family at the end of the season.

Rakiya says that buying more farmland is her happiest memory as a Babban Gona member. With lenders’ help to grow her farming business, Rakiya believes that she can provide a better life for her family and make even more great memories with them.
