A loan helped to pay for field labor to grow organic beans.

Gulsayra's story

Gulsayra, age 57, is widowed and has four children. She has a secondary education and works as a social worker in a rural council. She is a hardworking, honest, decisive, cheerful woman by nature. She has been raising livestock and crops for more than 15 years as an additional source of income for her family. Her farm currently has three cows, 15 sheep, a horse, and 1.8 hectares of irrigated land where she grows beans.

In order to further develop her crop farming, she applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 100,000 som (KGS) to pay for field labor, with the goal of increasing her income from growing organic beans. She plans to invest profits from the loan in increasing the number of livestock she owns and plans to use a part to renovate her house.
