A loan helped to purchase more raw materials for liquid soap production.

Jocelyn's story

Joycelyn is a 21-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her relatives in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese district in Ghana. She sells cosmetics and produces and sells liquid soap.

Jocelyn is requesting a Kiva loan to purchase more raw materials for liquid soap production. This will increase her profit margin. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her family and continue her education.

Jocelyn will repay the "social interest" on her loan by volunteering two and half hours each week as a CAMFED Peer Educator, leading life skills sessions for students in schools. She will cover topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path, and active citizenship.
