Purity's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to expand her business and increase the size and range of her stock.

Purity's story

Purity is a 32-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband, child and two nieces in Chinsali district in Zambia. Purity sells beans, rice, and also hair extensions. Previously, she received a Kiva loan and repaid it. With her first Kiva loan, Purity purchased more stock, to subsequently increase her sales. She used the profit she earned to expand her business. Purity is requesting a second loan to further expand her business by buying more stock to meet her customers' needs. She plans to use the profit she earns to pay her tuition fees at the university. Purity will repay the ‘social interest’ on her second loan by volunteering three hours per week as a member of the CAMFED alumnae association, CAMFED Association, providing mentorship to younger members as they tackle a range of personal and entrepreneurial issues.
