Amka Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy 25 cartons of milk.

Amka Group's story

Christine is a customer of the MFI Hekima and the leader of the Amka village group. She is married, 48 years old, and the mother of 12 children who are all educated. Her partner is a teacher.

She sells milk. She started her business in 1999 with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima's loan program to support her business and has been progressing steadily since.

She plans to use her new loan to buy 25 cartons of milk. The main challenge faced by her business is a lack of merchandise.

She would like to see her children get an education.

Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support they are giving to owners of non-bankable businesses during the covid-19 pandemic.

Please note that only the group leader is pictured due to covid-19 restrictions.
