Linner's story

Linner is a 42-year-old mother of three children, who lives in Litein, a town that hosts a number of elite athletes in Kenya. She is a mixed dairy and crop farmer who has farmed for the past ten years. Through farming, she is able to support all her school-going children.

The Covid-19 pandemic has posed a significant threat to Kenya's economy, causing uncertainties and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is at he forefront in combating this pandemic by supporting smallholders and micro-entrepreneurs.

Linner is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs to improve production and make more income for her family. She is hopeful that all Kiva lenders are adhering to the safety measures in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
