Financiera Paraiso Group's story

The Financiera Paraiso communal bank is made up of 8 members and is led by Guzamn as the president. He can be seen in the photo, followed by the secretary and treasurer. The three represent the group's officers.

The communal bank is in its sixth loan cycle and is very close-knit. Benedicta is the secretary of the communal bank and considers herself to be a hard-working and demanding woman and an early riser with great desire to get ahead for her four children. She is married and, with her spouse, works in agriculture harvesting cacao. She also prepares and sells chicken soup to improve her financial income and rents out a room.

She asks for her loan from Kiva to do maintenance on her cacao farm and be able to have a better product and satisfied customers and to prevent pests and losses.

She has a goal to do finishing work on her small retail space to sell her chicken soup.
