08-Néma Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to sell clothes, bags, millet couscous and thiakry [a West African dessert].

08-Néma Group's story

This group of 30 women is part of the banc villageois created in 2009. The women live in the same neighbourhood and work in retail which is their main source of income. They share good relations which helps to make their living conditions better.

Fatoumata, the group representative, has her hand raised on the picture. She is 37 years old, married, and has five children. She has 15 other dependent children. She has been working in retail for a few years.

With this new loan, she wants to buy clothes and bags in the capital to resell them. She also makes and sells couscous and thiakry [a West African dessert] from millet. The profits made will allow her to increase her stock by buying bags of millet, corn, sugar and milk.
