Jocelyn's story

Jocelyn is from the town of Ubay, Bohol. She is 43 years old and has operated a sari-sari (convenience) store in her community for 11 years. She sells household basic commodities such as detergent, seasoning, toiletries, chips, canned goods and soft drinks. From her income, she is able to support a one-year-old baby and pay the school fees of her four school-aged children.

Jocelyn is asking for a loan to buy more items to resell such as coffee, sugar, toiletries, canned goods, noodles, insect repellent, rice and cigarettes. These items are in high demand and sell well on a daily basis.

With a loan, Jocelyn is confident that her sari-sari business will be more prosperous. She will use her profits for the school fees of her children and for the healthy meals of her family.
