Together Group's story

Bernadette is a client of the micro-finance institution Hekima and the president of the "Together" group. She is married, 50 years old, and a mother of seven children. Five children are in school. Her partners is a humanitarian worker.

Bernadette sells hardware products, a business she started eight years ago with start-up funds she received from her husband. Later, she joined Hekima to support her business, which continues to evolve. With this new loan, she is going to buy cement, reinforcing bars, sheet metal, triplexes, and rafters, which will strengthen her initial capital. A challenge for her business is a lack of customers.

Bernadette wishes to feed her family and to build a house. Finally, she thanks Hekima and their partners for their support of business owners who lack access to banking services in the context of the global COVID-19 crisis. The photo only includes the group leader because of COVID-19.
