Sebukwangali's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more inventory to increase the product offerings in his shop in the refugee camp.

Sebukwangali's story

Sebukwangali is a well-known entrepreneur in one of Rwanda's refugee camps. Sebukwangali is also one of the refugees living in the camp, who turned his life around because of his successful business.

Like many refugees, Sebukwangali came to Rwanda and left everything behind. However, with a little savings, he was able to start a grocery store selling items that are highly demanded in the camp. With the help of the previous loans the business grew dramatically, so he also introduced money transfer services which were not common in the camp. He gave easy access to his fellow refugees to be able to send and receive money easily. He was also able to hire two fellow refugees to help him in the businesses.

Sebukwangali's business was affected (especially the money transfer business) during the lockdown phase of the pandemic, but the grocery store was working because his business sells essential products. He would like to request another loan to purchase more inventory to satisfy the demand for products that are highly requested in the camp.
