Susanna's story

This is 48-year-old Susanna. She is married and has 7 children. Three of her children are still in school and four are out of high school; they all live at home.

Susanna is a high school graduate. She deals in a business selling fish and dry bonnie. For the past 10 years, Susanna has been managing her sales. She learned the trade from her aunty and started to sell with some earnings from her husband. She sells Monday through Saturday, 6 hours daily. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site.

Susanna applied for a loan through BRAC Liberia and Kiva to buy more fish and dry bonnie to sell in order to enhance her business. She plans to use her profits to help her children at home.

In the future, Susanna wants to continue her children's education. She is highly grateful for the financial support BRAC and Kiva have rendered.
