A loan helped to buy fingerlings.

Muong Phang 36 Group's story

Anh, 48, is a Thai ethnic woman. Her two daughters were married. Now, she lives with her husband and a son who is in 10th grade in a small house on stilts in the northern mountains of Vietnam, where agriculture is the main income activity.

She makes a living by farming. She grows cassava and vegetables and raises fishes, chickens, ducks, geese, pigs and cows to generate extra income for her family. Currently, her pond is lacking fish, so she decided to borrow money from the Anh Chi Em program to buy fingerlings for breeding development. During the loan process, she also hopes that the program staff will train her to improve her breeding skills so that she can raise fish properly and have easier success. If the investment is profitable, she will use the interest to continue sending her children to school.
