Pa Khoang 41 Group's story

Married since she was very young, Danh, 37, is an ethnic Thai woman who is the mother of three children: two daughters and a son. The eldest daughter is married, the youngest daughter is in pre-school, and the son is in 10th grade. Her family lives in a small house on stilts in Vietnam's Dien Bien province, where agriculture is the main income activity.

As a child, Danh could not go to school due to difficult circumstances, so she always wants her children to have enough education and have a better life than her. This is the reason why Danh always works hard, even though her main income is limited and comes from growing rice. Therefore, Danh wants to borrow money from the Anh Chi Em program to invest in buying fingerling fish to expand her production and improve her family's income. She hopes the investment will be successful enough to have money for her children to go to school.
