Awa's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy kola nuts.

Awa's story

This group of women has been in place since September 2013. They all live in the same town and have very strong family and solidarity links. Their main activity is trading.

Awa, who is the group's representative, is 60 years old, married and mother to three children, one of whom is a girl. She is an active trader. With this loan she is planning to buy a large quantity of kola nuts in order to retail them at the local market at a good price, so she can increase her income.

With the profits she makes, she is planning to boost her savings and help out her husband to provide for the family's needs (food, healthcare and the children's schooling).
