Zenaida's story

Zenaida is a 59-year-old farmer from Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. She is widowed and blessed with one child, who helps her in her farming business.

She has been engaged in the farming industry, growing citrus, for almost eight years. Zenaida delivers citrus to sell in the public market. She earns 7,000 PHP per harvest. Zenaida has been a good-paying client of Alalay sa Kaunlaran (ASKI), Inc. for about six years.

She has again been entrusted with a loan amounting to 20,000 PHP under the agricultural loan program of ASKI. Her loan will be used to buy fertilizer and pesticides for the easy growth of her new crops. Zenaida wants to expand her farm in the near future.

She believes that with the help of ASKI and the Kiva lenders, she can provide a convenient life to her family.
