A loan helped to buy chicks to raise into chickens.

01_Cite Ouvriere Group's story

This group is made up of ten women who have been members of the "banc villageois" since its inception in May 2009; they live in the same area and share good relationships of solidarity and friendship.
Madame Mame Asta is a very dynamic woman. She is 52 years old. She is to the right with hand upraised. She is married and mother to six children, two of whom are boys and all of whom attend school. She has raised chickens in her home for over ten years.
With her new loan she plans to buy chicks, sacks of feed, vaccinations and other detergent products to maintain the area. Her experience in this field means that she does not have a high mortality rate with each operation and this allows her to make a profit.
Her profits allow her to manage her smaller expenses, to pay for schooling for one of her girls, and to help her husband with the family's needs.
