Abakoranabushake Cb Group's story

Francine is 35 years old and married with five children, aged between 2 and 11. For the past five years she has been owning a shop.

Francine is the leader of a group named Abakoranabushake Cb, which in English means “people who work with desire”. Group members sell different items and own a variety of businesses.

Francine will use her loan to buy more salt, sugar and maize flour to meet customer demand. With the profits from her sales, she will put away some savings and pay school fees for their children.

Due to the global pandemic, Urwego was not able to photograph all members but Urwego was able to get one representative for the group photo.
