Nenita's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy items like toiletries, noodles, eggs, seasonings, snack foods, and drinks to sell in her general store, and also fishing materials.

Nenita's story

Nenita lives in Concepcion, Iloilo. She is 35 years old, married, and she has three dependents.

Nenita and her family run a fishing business to earn an income. They have been running this business for many years. Aside from fishing, she also runs a small general store for additional income.

Now, Nenita is requesting a loan of PHP 20,000 through Kiva’s Field Partner CEVI (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan to buy items like toiletries, noodles, eggs, seasonings, snack foods and drinks for her general store. The rest will be used to buy fishing materials that they can use in their fishing activity.

Nenita wants to expand this business in the future for her children’s education. She wants them to finish their studies.
