but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy vegetables, condiments, meat, chicken, and other ingredients.

Mujeres Emprendedoras Group's story

The group named “Mujeres Emprendedoras” was formed by several friends and neighbors from the city of Luque. They are seeking to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. The members are in their second loan cycle with the Women’s Committee Program. They are also participating in the poverty elimination program.

One of the members is Sra. Mónica, who sells food for a living. She says that she prepares everything herself each day. Mónica begins her work early in the morning and then goes out to sell. She already has an established clientele because everything she prepares is delicious and greatly enjoyed by her customers. Mónica is pleased with the opportunity she has received to join this group so that she can accomplish her goals and objectives. She also mentioned that her work enables her to support her family and provide them with everything she did not have.

Mónica is requeting a loan to buy ingredients for preparing her food such as vegetables, condiments, meat, chicken, and other supplies. She is grateful for the opportunity she has received to be part of this group so that she can continue supporting her family.

Note: The photo shows only one person, even though this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo in order to avoid congregating during the COVID-19 pandemic.
