A loan helped to purchase a cow for raising.

Uom's story

Uom is 56 years old and a mother of three children. She lives in Siem Reap province. She is married and she and her spouse work as local farmers. She owns about one hectare of farmland for cultivating annual rice crops, and is earning approximately USD 4 per day. She has been operating this agribusiness for almost five years.

Also, Uom raises cows for fattening and after about one year, she will sell them for profit. Raising cows for trading is a long-term investment for Uom.

To make her business become viable and profitable, she would like to have a loan of KHR 5,000,000 to purchase a cow for raising. She is very happy that Kiva lenders help her in the business. She is appreciates this and promises to pay her loan back punctually on schedule. In the future, Uom wants to own a farm, on which she will raise cows and have a breeding business.
