Amparo's story

Amparo is a 70-year-old micro-entrepreneur who resides in Puerto Colombia-Atlántico. She owns a business that sells items of clothing, foot ware, and accessories. Amparo can count on over 30 years of experience operating businesses involved in this activity.

Amparo is an enterprising person and she created her business with the intention of generating income to help her husband cover household expenses and pay for the education of their children.

Her customers are the general public, plus a fixed list of customers and people who were referred to her store. Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, sales have drastically declined because of health insecurity. Amparo's cash inflow has diminished drastically.

A present, she is requesting her 1st Kiva loan through the Fundación Santo Domingo in order to invest in purchasing a larger quantity of blouses, dresses, and jeans for women, plus sandals, ballet flats, house slippers, and flip-flops. She wishes to have sufficient inventory to last the rest of the year.

Please help Amparo with her business loan.
