A loan helped to purchase clothing and other assorted items to increase her business.

Isatu's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 29-year-old Isatu from Aberdeen branch. She is a single parent with two children between the ages of 6 and 10 years old and all of them are attending school. She started this business to be financially stable to improve her life.

Isatu runs a retail shop and sells clothing and other assorted item. She has been in this business for the past 2 years. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes during this COVID 19.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase materials (clothing) and other assorted items to increase her business. Isatu says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her business and in taking care of her family welfare and her children’s education. In the future, she would like to establish in to a larger scale shop. She says thanks to Brac and Kiva for their support.
