Josephine's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 45-year-old Josephine from Wilberforce branch. She is widowed with four children between the ages of 15 and 20 years old. All of her children are attending school .She also has two other relatives who depend on her. She started this business to support her family.

Josephine runs a food market business and sells fish and other assorted items to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 15 years. Her main challenge is slow sales sometimes during this COVID19.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase fish and other assorted items to increase her business. Josephine says that the extra income from this loan will help to improve her business and take care of her family. In the future, she would like to establish it on a larger scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
