Peace Grace's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more T-shirts, dresses, trousers, and skirts to sell.

Peace Grace's Group's story

Peace Grace's group is composed of 2 hardworking women. Peace Grace is 21 years old and lives in the town of Kangulumira in the Nyeru region of Uganda. For the past 4 years, she has been working hard to manage her boutique, which sells all kinds of adult clothes and green plantains.

To help expand her business, Peace Grace has requested a share of a loan of 2,800,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more T-shirts, dresses, trousers, and skirts to sell, which will help her to generate greater profits and improve on the standards of living by providing enough food for her family. Peace Grace hopes that in the future she will be able to own a big boutique in town.

Peace Grace is a member of BRAC's Empowerment and Livelihood for Adolescents (ELA) program. In addition to microfinance loans, the program provides both a safe place for young Ugandan women to take part in group activities, and a forum for life-skills training.
