A loan helped to buy clothing and sandals for women.

Betsy Stefania's story

Betsy Stefania is 26 years old, married, and has two children, 11 and 7, who attend school. Her husband is a police officer, and they live in a house of their own.

They live in Portoviejo, a place affected by the earthquake of April 16th 2016, and now also by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city produces vegetables, legumes, and tropical fruits for internal consumption.

Betsy Stefania makes a living selling BOOM cleaning products (for clothing, floors, bathroom, and kitchen) by catalog. She sells at home, offering credit possibilities, and collecting weekly.

During this global crisis she has faced financial problems, her customers cannot pay because they have lost their jobs, or they have passed away. Initially she was very affected by the sanitary crisis because she could not work, but recently she has slowly started to reactivate her business.

With this loan she will start a new business selling clothing and sandals for women, so she can continue generating an income.

Her dream is that her family enjoys good health, and in the future start a business selling seafood.
