Vamos Al Exito Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy wholesale products for personal use, cleaning products and the basic food basket (sugar, rice, coffee).

Vamos Al Exito Group's story

Amarilis is a businesswoman who decided to start the convenience store business. She is a woman separated from her husband for 4 years. Amarilis shares that her business started 12 years ago and was strengthened by opening another store after her separation. Part of the income she gets from the store is used to provide a full education for 3 of her 4 children (6 to 14). Due to the good administration of Amarilis, her business grows considerably. She wants to stock the shelves of her business because consumer demand has increased. She is sure that she will be able to achieve her goal through the 1st KIVA loan, which she is applying for. Amarilis plans to buy wholesale products for personal use, cleaning products and the basic food basket (sugar, rice, coffee).

Amarilis is 34 years old and is the president of this “Vamos al Exito” Community Bank. She and 7 other women in the group own convenience stores, corn tortilla stores, fruit and chicken sales by the pound in the department (state) of Retalhuleu. They hope to receive a KIVA loan, to increase the inventory of the businesses and receive educational training (business, health, women, family). Through the program of small loans, non-formal education and health services “Microcredito Plus”, they want to empower themselves.

KIVA lenders, the women look forward to your generosity through the financing of this loan to continue to prosper.
