01_Poutdiack Group's story

This "Banc Villageois, created in February 2000, includes these good women who are from the same village, have family or friendship ties and are mutually supportive. They had several loans which they repaid on time. Their main businesses are farming and trade.
Madam Ami, the group's representative, standing at the right of the picture with her hand raised, is 64 years old. She is is married and has ten children: five girls and five boys, including four attending high school.
Ami has a poultry business. She buys her animals in the regional capital and works from home where she has a coop. She has over ten years of experience in this field. This loan will allow her to buy 50 chicks, three bags of poultry feed and pay for vaccinations and transportation. She is the only woman running this type of business in her area and demand is hight than supply.
Her profits enable her to cover her children's schooling expenses and increase her savings.
