Jessica Lorena's story

Jessica Lorena is an entrepreneur who started her business selling fruit purée with the goal of helping with the finances in her household. Jessica's 35 years old and she lives with her husband in the city of Barranquilla.

She found out how to sell fruit purée, which she sells to her clients, including stores, friends, referrals, restaurants, refreshment stands, and people in the sector. She has had excellent results and profits, in addition to being a source of jobs because she has one employee. Her husband is her main support and he helps her in this work because her sales declined during the pandemic.

With the economic reopening, Jessica hopes to have resources to buy raw materials and be able to increase her inventory of products to her clients.

At the moment she's applying for a Kiva loan, her first financing from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, resources she'll invest in a purchase of fruits like mango, passionfruit, soursop, blackberries, etc.
