Lesseth Del Socorro's story

Lesseth Del Socorro is a micro-entrepreneur who lives in the municipality of Piojó with her family. This entrepreneur is 47 years old and is an example of overcoming and tenacity. She began her business at home due to the necessity of generating income to sustain her family. In a small space, she opened her variety store in which she primarily sells school supplies, stationery, cosmetics, stuffed animals, inexpensive items, piñata-making supplies, and more. Her primary customers are passersby, friends, neighbors, and relatives. She has the support of her spouse who helps her with tending the business. Lesseth is very objective and positive.

Due to the restrictions on business because of the pandemic, her sales dropped, but she is clear that, as economy reopens, things are improving and she is confident that her business can grow more. For this, she is currently applying for a Kiva loan, her first financing she is taking from Fundación Mario Santo Domingo, with which she will invest in the purchase of supplies such as stationery, dolls, accessories, cosmetics, etc.

Lesseth wants to expand the inventory of products she offers so that her customers can feel comfortable and well-served. She needs an injection of capital to strengthen her business plan to get greater profitability and improve her quality of life. Support her with her business loan, it will be a success.
