Gloria Elena's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy groceries such as rice, milk, oil, etc. to stock her store.

Gloria Elena's story

Gloria Elena, 57, is married and has three adult children. Her husband is a master bricklayer and they live in their own house in Portoviejo which was affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in production of vegetables, legumes and tropical fruits for internal consumption.

Gloria Elena is a seamstress and she has a small workshop in her home where customers visit to order different items of clothing such as suits, shirts, blouses and dresses. She works on an order basis every day. The health crisis affected her at first because she was unable to sew, so now she has decided to open a grocery store to continue earning an income.

In her family two of her brothers had Covid-19 but they are recovering little by little. Unfortunately her father passed away.

With this new loan she will buy groceries such as rice, milk, oil, etc. to stock her store. Her dream is to have a much larger store.
