Viviana Vanessa's story

Viviana Vanessa is married and has a three-year-old son. Her husband runs a recycling business. They live in a house kindly lent to them by an aunt, in Portoviejo, a town struck by the earthquake of the 16th of April of 2016 and now by the coronavirus pandemic. The town specialises in producing vegetables, pulses, and tropical fruit for the internal market.
Viviana Vanessa and her husband are in demanding line of work, recycling: they buy old metal, cardboard, plastic, paper, magazines, copper, iron, tins, bottles, aluminium, etc. They rent a plot of land where they carry out their business. This is where customers and suppliers come to sell or request specific materials. The health emergency hit them very hard at first because they could not open for business, but now things are starting to return to normal and they can make money again. They will use the new loan to to buy bottles, tins, cardboard, iron, copper, etc. Viviana Vanessa's dream is to own the land their business is on and to keep her family healthy.
