Maria Agustina's story

Maria Agustina is in a relationship and has three children. Her partner is a farmer and they live in Portoviejo which was affected by the earthquake of April 16, 2016 and now by the Covid-19 pandemic. The city is rich in production of vegetables, legumes and tropical fruits for internal consumption.

Maria Agustina sells products she receives from a distributor who sends her photos of a wide variety of goods, domestic appliances, toys, clothing, shoes, etc. on internet and WhatsApp. She shows them to her customers who pay through bank transfer and she sends them to their domiciles.

She works every day. The health crisis was very bad at first because she was unable to sell and there was no transportation to send the merchandise. Now, little by little, she is reactivating her business to continue earning an income.

With this new loan she will buy goods to fill customer orders such as t-shirts, pastry tools, lamps, watches, jewelry, etc. Her dream is to have a vehicle so she can make deliveries herself.
