A loan helped to buy farming inputs to improve production and make more income to support her family.

Annah's story

Annah, a repeat Kiva borrower, is a 35-year-old mother of three, living in Kenyenya, a town whose surroundings have numerous small farms and also vast agricultural enterprises. She is a mixed farmer who has farmed for the past 25 years, which has made her life meaningful.

Annah is seeking this loan to buy farming inputs to improve production and make more income to support her family. The Covid-19 pandemic threatens Kenya's economy, causing uncertainties and disrupting food supply chains. Juhudi Kilimo, in partnership with Kiva, is in the forefront combating this pandemic by supporting smallholders and micro-entrepreneurs. Supporting Annah with a loan is key to facing the financial crisis brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.
